Team LGBT+ Youth SafePoint Initiative

We Need your HELP, now more than ever!

My dear friends and allies, we're creating a national network of support for LGBT+ youth in crisis and we need your help. We have launched our LGBT+ Youth SafePoint Initiative in Pennsylvania.
Many lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and other gender nonconforming identity (LGBT+) youth in rural areas face violence, bullying, and isolation. There are over 200,000 LGBT+ youth in America each year who experience homelessness or who are couch-surfing. With the anticipation of a political climate, I fear these numbers will increase, especially knowing that Pennsylvania was just named the number five state with the most hate groups for 2017 (Southern Poverty Law Center, 2017)
Our current plans for 2017 and 2018 includes the newly launched LGBT+ youth CarePAK program which assists homeless LGBT+ youth with clothing, food, daily living essentials, and services.
Our second plan is to open a LGBT+ Youth SafePoint center in Schuylkill County PA and LGBT+ Youth SafeHouses across Adams, Berks, Carbon, Columbia, Cumberland, Dauphin, Franklin, Lackawanna, Lancaster Lebanon, Luzerne, Monroe, Montour, Northumberland, Perry, Pike, Schuylkill, Snyder, Susquehanna, Union, Wayne, Wyoming, and York counties. These SafeHouses will provide emergency housing and a safe environment for LGBT+ youth who have become homeless.
Our third plan is to initiate an LGBT+ Youth Mobile Crisis Response Network and Team that will provide remediation and tangible support to LGBT+ youth who may become homeless or who may be experiencing a life-threatening crisis. Our teams will help to secure a stable and safe environment for each client. Our team will provide temporary shelter, family conflict remediation, counseling, food, clothing, and other daily necessities.
These are the reasons I am pleading with you to help by donating! Any amount is appreciated, valued, and will help our youth in crisis to have a fighting chance. Your donation is tax deductible! Even if you cannot donate money, there are many other ways to help, no matter where you are in the United States. Consider hosting a fundraiser in your area or volunteering. We appreciate your contribution as every gift matters and will help us make a larger impact in the communities around us. Once again, thank you for taking time to read our important message! Even if you are unable to donate, please share this with others!
