LGBT+ Youth SafePoint Initiative

Here is why we need your support: Every year in the United States there are over 200,000 lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender youth who experience a homelessness episode of longer than one week, including those who couch-surf.What our organization wants to accomplish with our LGBT+ Youth SafePoint Initiative is to create a national network of support for LGBT+ youth in crisis using our two very important programs.

SafePoint CarePak Program: Recently launched is our SafePoint CarePAK is a national program designed to assist homeless lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, two-spirit, queer, and questioning (LGBT+) youth with clothing, food, daily living essentials, and services. This program also creates supportive partnerships and resources for LGBT+ youth shelters, community centers, or any company, firm, office, or clinic providing help to LGBT+ youth.

LGBT+ Youth Mobile Crisis Response Network and Teams: In development now is our LGBT+ Youth Mobile Crisis Response Network and Teams will provide remediation and tangible support to LGBT+ youth who may become homeless or who may be experiencing a life-threatening crisis. Our teams will help to secure a stable and safe environment for each client. Our team will provide temporary shelter, family conflict remediation, counseling, food, clothing, and other daily necessities. Lastly, we are organizing SafeHouses in many rural areas of the nation that will provide a temporary and transitional safe environment for LGBT+ youth who have become homeless.

These are the reasons I am pleading with you to help by donating! Any amount is appreciated, valued, and will help our youth in crisis to have a fighting chance. Your donation is tax deductible! Even if you cannot donate money, there are many other ways to help, no matter where you are in the United States. Consider hosting a fundraiser in your area or volunteering. We appreciate your contribution as every gift matters and will help us make a larger impact in the communities around us. Once again, thank you for taking time to read our important message! Even if you are unable to donate, please share this with others!
